How to Calculate Paramedical Cutoff Marks?
Before using the cutoff calculator, it is important to understand how the paramedical cutoff mark is calculated. The cutoff mark plays a key role in the admission process for paramedical degree courses in Tamil Nadu and is used to prepare the rank list.
The cutoff calculation depends on the group you studied in Class 12. Students from Biology group, Botany & Zoology group, and Mathematics group have slightly different calculation methods.
For Biology or Maths Group:
Cutoff Mark = Subject (Biology or Maths) + (Physics / 2) + (Chemistry / 2)
For Botany & Zoology Group:
Cutoff Mark = (Botany + Zoology + Physics + Chemistry) / 2
- Maximum Marks per subject: 100
- Maximum Cutoff Mark: 200
A higher cutoff mark increases your chances of getting top paramedical courses such as B.Sc Nursing, B.Pharm, Allied Health Sciences, and other healthcare programs. Use the calculator below to quickly find your cutoff and plan your admission process effectively.
